2005 Career Highlights:

Klesko was experiencing a solid comeback season when neck and shoulder troubles after the All-Star break brought everything to a grinding halt. He still led the club in homers but only four of the 18 came after the break. He had his struggles defensively, and the Padres are planning to return him to first base in 2006, hoping it will reduce the possibility of injury and keep his bat booming for a full season.
